Pediatric Trauma Management for Emergency Medical Personnel

The Kiwanis Club of Weston has underwritten, and, with the added support of Norwalk Hospital and Southwest Connecticut EMS Council. invite all emergency medical personnel to participate in a continuing education program at Norwalk Hospital on pediatric trauma management presented by The Kiwanis Pediatric Trauma Institute (KPTI), a partnership of New England Kiwanis and The Floating Hospital for Children at Tufts Medical Center.
The four-hour program presents basic and advanced concepts of trauma management including, epidemiology, diagnosis, airway management, resuscitation techniques, system considerations, and case studies.

Instructor: The course is taught by Adam Silva, B.S., a nationally registered paramedic and instructor of pediatric advanced life support (PALS), with nearly 20 years of EMS experience.
The Connecticut Department of Public Health Office of Emergency Medical Services has approved four (4) EMS Instructor Continuing Education credits for this course. Massachusetts has approved four EMT, Advanced, or Paramedic credits. The National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians accepts continuing education that has received official approval through state EMS offices.

Early bird registration, before Sunday, September 17, is $50. Registration is $60 after Saturday, September 16.
